We often get people who live outside Portugal but keep a car here, and people who travel for work every other week. In those cases paying a daily rate makes no sense. From 20 days the price automatically switches to the monthly rate.

How the monthly rate works

The monthly rate equals 20 days of the daily rate and covers 30 periods of 24 hours. That is why it only pays off, and is only applied, from the 20th period onwards.

For a car it is 120 € a month; for a motorhome, camper or large van, 200 €. Days left over after each month go back to the daily rate, 6 € or 10 €, until they add up to 20 again, at which point another month applies.

In practice: 32 days with a car is 120 € plus two days at 6 €, so 132 €. And 50 to 60 days is two months, 240 €. The price is never higher than the daily rate.

What happens to a car left standing for months

The vehicle stays parked inside our facilities, in the spot where it was left, and is only driven when strictly necessary. The car park is private, fenced, lit, with video surveillance and 24 hour security.

On long stays there are things worth agreeing with us up front: if you leave the key in our safe, we can act if something unexpected happens, such as a battery going flat. If the vehicle is electric, we check the battery before handing it back. And if you want to protect the paint from sun and rain for months, the Full Vehicle Cover costs 2 € per 24 hours.

The key is always kept in a locked, monitored safe, and the vehicle is only moved in an emergency.

Booking for a long period

Bookings run from 1 to 365 days and it is all done on the website by choosing your dates. If you do not yet know when you are coming back, book for the period you expect and then tell us: we extend it at no cost and the extra days are added to the rate. Do not make a second booking for the extra days.

Payment is on your return, as with any booking, by card, cash or MB WAY.
