The five questions that decide an airport car park: real price, transport, security, vehicle type and when you pay. With honest answers.

Almost every car park near Lisbon Airport advertises the same thing: cheap, secure, close. The difference shows up in the details you only notice on the day you travel. These are the five questions worth asking before you book, whether with us or with someone else.

1. Does the advertised price include transport to the terminal?

This is where most comparisons go wrong. A car park can advertise a very low daily rate and then charge for transport separately, or simply not offer it.

At Check-in Park the price you see after choosing your dates already includes parking and the transport you pick. Parking is 6 € per 24-hour period for a car, with a 20 € minimum. Transport is added per booking, not per person or per day: 5 € with transfer, where you leave the car at the car park and the van takes you to the terminal, or 15 € with valet, where you hand the car over at the terminal itself. If you do not need transport, choose Parking Only and pay no extra.

Always ask for the total, not the daily rate.

2. When do you pay?

Some car parks charge everything when you book and others ask for a deposit. That means if your plans change, the money has already gone.

Here payment is made only on your return, when we hand the vehicle back, by card, cash or MB WAY. You pay nothing when booking and we do not ask for card details. That is why the booking shows as pending until the end: it is the normal state.

The practical consequence is simple: cancelling costs nothing until your vehicle enters the car park.

3. Is the car park really guarded, and what does the insurance cover?

«Insured» and «guarded» are words everyone uses. It is worth asking what they mean in practice.

Check-in Park is a private, fully fenced area, lit, with video surveillance and security staff present 24 hours a day, every day, supported by a security company. We carry civil liability insurance, which covers damage for which we are responsible, and we have a fire protection plan.

At check-in we record the mileage and the condition of the vehicle in photos and video, to compare on your return. If you notice damage you do not recognise, the moment to raise it is at handover, with our colleague present.

The car park is open-air. To protect your vehicle there is the Full Vehicle Cover, a foam cover for 2 € per 24 hours.

4. What are the hours, including through the night?

Many flights from Lisbon Airport leave before seven in the morning, which means dropping the car off in the middle of the night. Not every car park does that.

Our car park and transport run 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and so does the operations line +351 915 489 501. If your flight is at 6:30 a.m. and you need to be at the terminal at 4:30 a.m., that is no problem.

Customer support on WhatsApp and e-mail answers from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; outside those hours, the team at the car park answers the phone.

5. Do they take my vehicle?

If you drive a motorhome, a camper, a tall van or a motorbike, half the options disappear.

We take cars, motorbikes, motorhomes, campers and large vans. Vehicles 2 metres high or more pay the large vehicle rate, 10 € per 24 hours, and use the transfer rather than valet, for traffic reasons at the terminal. Motorbikes are 5 € per 24 hours.

Coaches, trucks and vehicles with trailers are accepted on request, by phone, because dimensions and space have to be confirmed before booking.

Run the numbers with your own dates

The quickest way to compare is to enter your real dates and times in the search on the home page: the figure you see is the total, with parking and the transport you chose, and no booking fee. The Prices page has the full table, including the monthly rate that applies from 20 days.
